"The Evolution of Charles Darwin" is a 4-part radio program first broadcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Company in 2009.

The program was produced as a special on "Ideas", a Canadian program that as far as I know is unique among English-language radio programs. The individual broadcast episodes are one hour in length. However, the series frequently devotes several hour-long episodes to a single topic. In 2006, as an example, three episodes were devoted to analyzing the contents of declassified cold-war documents from the former Soviet Union, including information about the content of internal Soviet policy discussions. In 2007, three episodes were devoted to the practice and difficulties of literary translation, including interviews with well-known translators.

In 2009 was broadcast a four-part program called "The Evolution of Charles Darwin". Desription of the episodes and streaming audio is available at www.cbc.ca.

CBC makes episodes freely available for download. After a few weeks, CBC stops linking to the old episodes. Sometimes the old URLs continue to work. What follows are links to mp3s of each episode, hosted on the CBC's own servers.
